THE MABELLE

The Mabelle is a historic Prairie Style house that once belonged to Mabelle Kennedy, who served as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury under President Truman. Two U.S. presidents previously stayed in this residence, now an adults-only homestay. Host James, a former hotelier, and his flight attendant wife bring international hospitality standards to each guest.

The property offers three private rooms: a Standard Twin Room, a Queen Room, and a Deluxe King Room, each with a private bathroom. Rooms include air conditioning, parquet floors, garden views, bathrobes, and tea/coffee makers with additional snacks and chocolates on pillows. Bed linens are ironed, and each room has a sound machine, TV, and makeup remover wipes.

Guests have access to a wrap-around porch with outdoor furniture, a sun terrace, and a garden with an outdoor fireplace. Inside, a grand piano, a wall of world clocks displaying current times in London, Paris, and other cities, and board games are available in the shared lounge. A fully equipped shared kitchen, a butler's pantry with an ice machine, and an honor bar with a drink recipe book are provided.

Free on-site private parking with garage and accessible spaces is available, along with express check-in/check-out and luggage storage. A business centre and 24-hour security with CCTV and smoke alarms are on the property. Daily housekeeping, key access, and a shared TV area are included.
